Senior Care Specialist

 

The Senior Care Specialist’s duty is at the discretion of the employer.

There are a variety of personal senior care types of individuals.

Certified nursing assistants (CNAs), home health assistants (HHAs), registered nurses (RNs), and licensed practical nurses (LPNs). 

Caregivers provide help with activities of daily living as well as companionship. With each type of caregiver, there will be a difference in expectations, duties, and responsibilities concerning the senior. 

Some Responsibilities of a Senior Care Specialist:

Administer doses of medications, keeping a log of each dose (based on State) 

Dress wounds or give injections as needed based on medical recommendations 

Measure vital signs and check for any irregular behaviors, temperatures, etc. 

Track medical progress, taking daily notes and report any symptoms to family members, doctors and physicians 

Transport to and from appointments, ensuring safety in all areas of mobility and use of getting in and out of wheelchair  

Meal preparation, following all dietary restrictions, shopping for groceries, cooking and feeding  

Personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming and using toilet 

General housekeeping, washing dishes, laundry, cleaning bedroom, bathroom and all living areas 

Planning activities, improving the quality of life by enhancing mental, physical and emotional needs  

Companionship and consideration for a meaningful life, improving social support 

Qualifications to register as a Senior Care Specialist  

Minimum 3-5 years experience in your domestic field  

Educational background & degrees that apply to position  

Impeccable references from 2-3 previous employers  

Valid Drivers License  

Proof of Citizenship  

Clean Driving Record 

Must pass background check  

Credit check (depending on job duties)  

Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking) 

Comfortable with being legally employed (W2) and paid via Payroll 

Valid Passport holder & willingness to travel  

Legal to work in the U.S.  

Non-Smoker 

Drug- Free
