Pet Care

 

The Pet Care provider’s duty is at the discretion of the employer.

A pet care specialist is responsible for caring for pets when their owners are not available.

This persons duty is to groom, feed and exercise animals. Work is based upon a set schedule and provides pet sitting or overnight services on a periodic basis when the owner is  traveling.

Private pet care assistants will love, care and tend to your animals, along with being a friendly addition to your family.

Some Responsibilities of a Pet Care Provider:

• Feed, water, nurture, and care for pets such as dogs, cats, birds, horses, cows, farm animals, ferrets, fish, or other 

• Take animal(s) out for regular exercise and fresh air, including training

• Give rewards and treats for good behaviors based on employer requests  

• Ensure animal(s) have plenty of space to eat, drink and eliminate (consistent schedule)

• Administer medications, create a log of issues, bad behaviors or skin irritations  

• Brush fur and teeth and carry out other types of light grooming (as requested)

• Provide food, water and snacks at appropriate times 

• Drive to veterinarian appointments, as needed  

• Give daily medications, if applicable  

Qualifications to register as a Pet Care Provider

• Minimum 3-5 years experience in your domestic field  

• Educational background & degrees that apply to position  

• Impeccable references from 2-3 previous employers  

• Valid Drivers License  

• Proof of Citizenship  

• Clean Driving Record 

• Must pass background check  

• Credit check (depending on job duties)  

• Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking) 

• Comfortable with being legally employed (W2) and paid via Payroll 

• Valid Passport holder & willingness to travel  

• Legal to work in the U.S.  

• Non-Smoker 

• Drug- Free
